The Faculty of International Liberal Arts is inviting applicants for adjunct positions teaching required first-year and second-year English courses in a coordinated curriculum. Duties begin on April 1st, 2025. The official working hour is 8:30-16:40. -
Work content and job description
●Work content and job description
(a) Teach eight 90-minute sections (koma) of the following courses: English for Liberal Arts (1st year), Academic English (1st year), and English for Global Citizenship (2nd year). These classes are typically scheduled in the mornings on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
In addition to teaching the above-mentioned classes, they will be responsible for the following duties:
(b) Hold office hours for students outside of class for two periods a week
(c) Provide student counseling at the beginning and end of each term
(d) Attend faculty meetings and assist in administering tests
(e) Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by the university -

Annual Salary : 4 million yen ~
Annual Salary: 4.5 million yen or above.
Additional compensation is provided for teaching one or two additional classes in the afternoon.
Salary is determined based on Juntendo’s salary criteria.

Master

Work experience
1. An MA or above in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, English education, or a related field, and some research experience in these areas
2. Significant experience and ability in teaching English for academic purposes, content-based courses, and TOEFL-oriented subjects
3. Enthusiasm for English education in the Faculty of International Liberal Arts
4. At least three years of teaching experience in higher education
5. Native speaker or near native speaker level English proficiency, if not a native speaker of English.
6. Japanese proficiency sufficient to conduct administrative duties, if not a native speaker of Japanese
