Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The University of Tsukuba, Institute of Library, Information and Media Science is looking for an associate or assistant professor who will conduct education and research in the field of Content Science.

* The expected research of successful candidate will advance studies from theory to implementation related to the production, analysis and utilization of various content and media, including video.
* The candidate will be required to perform practical work to "Acceleration of Reorganization of Securing Highly Professional Information Technology Human Resources" at the university.
* The successful candidate is expected to teach graduate courses at the Master's Program in Informatics of the Graduate School of Comprehensive Human Sciences, such as "Content Production and Development," related research seminar courses, etc., and to supervise graduate students.
* The candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses at the College of Media Arts, Science and Technology, School of Informatics, such as "Introduction to Content Technology," "Content Producing," related research seminar courses, etc., and to supervise undergraduate students.
* Applicants are required to teach classes in both Japanese and English.
* Administrative duties include committees, publicity, admission, etc.

Work experience
* Sufficient capability to conduct research in relevant fields
* At least two publications for the assistant level and five for the associate level (peer-reviewed academic journals, peer-reviewed proceedings of international conferences, academic books) in the last 5 years (Still, you may include one older but significant paper in your career.)
* The enthusiasm to work on education, research, university management, and "Acceleration of Reorganization of Securing Highly Professional Information Technology Human Resources"; interdisciplinary collaborative research is highly encouraged.
