[Job Description]
The Earth-Life Science Institute (ELSI) of the Institute of Science Tokyo (Science Tokyo) is soliciting applications for one research scientist (Specially Appointed Assistant Professor) promoting interdisciplinary collaborations and pursuing research on the evolution of Earth and planetary systems, universal properties of life systems, and habitability beyond Earth.
In particular, we are looking for individuals who use a synthetic biology approach to reconstitute living systems and explore their origins and evolution. Our institutional language is English; Japanese language skills are not required. An unprecedented level of support for researchers to live and thrive in Japan is provided by our talented staff.
