Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
Processing, synthesis, and manipulation technologies for nanomaterials facilitate the realization of new functions and the design of devices based on new concepts, which are directly linked to the advancement of nanoscience and nanotechnology. Therefore, in order to foster further development in nanoscience and nanotechnology, it is essential to establish highly controlled fabrication technologies for materials at scales of 0.1 nm to 1 μm, based on either materials, quantum, or beam science. In the field of advanced nanofabrication research, we aim to develop these nanofabrication technologies while also targeting a wide range of fields, from applied research with a perspective on device applications to the fundamental research that pursues principles and aims to pioneer new nanomaterial science. This department is also expected to promote research in close collaboration with other research divisions and centers at SANKEN, and to develop new academic fields and conduct research that contributes to industrial applications with a future perspective, responding appropriately to the demands of society.
This research field is also involved in education and research within the Division of Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering at the Graduate School of Engineering.
