Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
Yokohama City University invites applications for the position of Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine and Graduate School of Medicine, Yokohama City University.
The successful candidate will have a deep knowledge of medical chemistry with a focus on biochemistry, and will be able to play a leading role in medical education as well as in medical research based on high-quality basic research both in Japan and abroad.

Description
Those who meet the eligibility requirements of the following (1) to (6)
1. Those who hold a doctoral degree.
2. Have sufficient insight and experience in biochemistry, and be willing to demonstrate their own expertise and expand into medical research on the basis of high-quality basic research
3. Have enthusiasm for education (including CBT and OSCE) at the School of Medicine
4. Those who can foster excellent human resources with a research mindset who will lead the next generation of medicine through education in the field of biochemistry (biomolecules, metabolism, mechanisms of enzyme action, etc.) at the School of Medicine and research guidance at the Graduate School of Medicine.
5. Have a cooperative spirit to take charge of university administration, and be able to work proactively for smooth collaboration and joint research with other departments where cooperation is essential as a senior professor of the department.
6. Those who can communicate in Japanese.
