Job description

    Unitas Foreign Language Academy, Teikyo Branch is seeking experienced teachers to join our English programs on the Teikyo University Hachioji campus. We are looking for teachers for full-time teaching positions, lecturing in a variety of university classes as well as teaching in an on-campus extra-curricular Eikaiwa classes.

    University Lecturer/Eikaiwa Teacher

    We are seeking professional teachers to primarily teach accredited university English classes and on-campus extra-curricular Eikaiwa classes only open to the university students. However, suitable candidates may be dispatched to either Teikyo University Junior & Senior High School or Teikyo University Kindergarten. The working schedule follows the university calendar, and therefore includes long holiday periods in the Summer and the Spring. Please note that this is a full-time position in that you will be working 8 hours (including 45 minutes break), 5 days a week during certain periods which mostly correspond to the regular university semesters.

    Teachers may be required to provide online classes for either university or Eikaiwa classes depending on need.

    Annual Salary : 3 million yen ~ 4 million yen

    ¥270,000/Month (¥3,240,000/Year)
    *Salary will be divided monthly by the annual amount. Summer and Spring breaks are paid even when university classes are not in session during August, February and March.

    *Supplementary work during August, February and March will be paid at an hourly rate in addition to monthly salary.

  • Education and Degree Requirements

    Bachelor

  • Work experience

    • English: Native level
    • Japanese: Basic level is appreciated but not necessary
    • Must currently reside in Japan
    • 2 years’ experience teaching in a classroom setting environment
    • Strong teaching skills and code of ethics
    • Punctual, Independent and Professional attitude
    • Strong PC skills, able to fully utilize the Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel)
