Job content supplemental explanation
[Explanation of Institution]
The Graduate School of International Management (GSIM) at the International University of Japan (IUJ) was established in Mar. 23, 1988 with full approval and accreditation from The Ministry of Education of Japan. The school was established as the first US-style business school in Japan with the support of about 1000 Japanese companies, including top Japanese corporations such as Matsushita, Komatsu, IBM-Japan, Sony, and Toyota. IUJ offers only graduate-level programs and all instruction is in the English language, and has bridged management thinking between international and Japanese business communities. It has helped international students access Japanese job markets, and Japanese companies expand their business to global markets. Leading in the fast-changing environment, the GSIM has developed the latest rigorous ideas and disseminated them widely.
The GSIM ranks among the top business schools in the Asia-Pacific region. In the prestigious Economist Intelligence Unit’s “Top-100 Business Schools of the World” rankings, IUJ-GSIM is the only Business School in Japan to make the cut for more than 10 years.
The GSIM has obtained accreditation from AACSB International, a “hallmark of excellence” in business education, and synonymous with the highest standards of quality. GSIM-IUJ is one of the six AACSB accredited universities in Japan up to date, and the first AACSB accredited English-medium school in Japan. The 150-member GSIM student body is truly international, representing over forty countries from all parts of the globe. With internationally trained faculty, excellent facilities for computing and research, and a picturesque rural campus location within 90 minutes of Tokyo by bullet train, IUJ provides a unique, attractive working environment in Japan.
