Vacations: as determined by Japanese laws such as the Labor Standards Law and by the university.
Overtime and other explanations : Scheduled working days and working hours: work days, work hours (starting and ending times, breaks), etc., will be according to Waseda University regulations. For research, the Discretionary Labor System for Professional Work (working hours will be deemed as 8 hours per day) applies; how the work is carried out and time allocated will be left to the individual’s discretion.

Applicants must meet all three of the following requirements.
1)Research output in the humanities or social sciences (particularly research focusing on cross-cultural and/or interdisciplinary studies).
2)At least three years’ experience teaching at a university or experience holding a full-time faculty position at a university.
3)If Japanese is not the candidate’s first language, the candidate must function sufficiently in Japanese to carry out all duties and responsibilities; if English is not the candidate’s first language, the candidate must function sufficiently in English to teach classes entirely in English.
