Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Laboratory of Environmental Design and Information Technology, Division of Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Osaka, is responsible for developing methods of environmental design that comprehensively plan the relationships among humans, artifacts, and nature. This laboratory also conducts research for the development of environmental design systems through advanced application of information and communication technology (ICT), as well as education in comprehensive environmental information science from an engineering perspective. To achieve environmentally sustainable smart cities, the laboratory research ICT applications in environmental, civil, architectural, and urban engineering, with a focus on artificial intelligence, digital twin, augmented and virtual reality, 3D measurement, and product modeling technologies, and applies these to sustainable environmental design. Through undergraduate and graduate course education, the laboratory aims to cultivate innovative talents in related fields.
The laboratory is seeking an academic staff member who has a flexible attitude and can contribute to developing and harnessing the strength of the laboratory’s research and education. The successful applicant will be responsible for not only conducting research but also teaching liberal arts, and other subjects at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
