Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
Research Division for Social Resilience aims to scientifically clarify what kind of damage occurs in society as a result of disasters and what kind of recovery process is followed, through collaboration with disaster practices and disaster sites. Based on this understanding, we aim to propose effective disaster management measures, education, and policies.
Work content and job description
(Immediately after hiring)
To engage in the following task:
-Construction and empirical analysis of Disaster Resilience Indices
as a part of the project "Resaerch on Sustainable Resilience Building Strategies through Scientific Elucidation of Disaster Processes."
The successful candidate will be expected to engage 100% in the above research work and actively publish papers to international journals in the field of disaster research under the supervision of the researchers in charge.

Education and Degree Requirements
Master
A master's degree or higher, or equivalent academic experience, specializing in one of the engineering or social sciences, especially sociology, social psychology, economics, informatics, etc., relevant to the execution of this work.
Description
・Possess the skills to perform statistical data processing and visualization processing.
・The applicant should be able to communicate in English. Japanese language ability is not required.
