Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The newly established lab of Dr. Junichi Saito is NIH-funded and is seeking talented and motivated postdoctoral scientists to join the team at the Vascular Biology Center in the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, USA.
Our research questions are i) How do vascular cells respond to surrounding cues such as extracellular matrix during development? and ii) Why does this morphogenesis go awry in vascular diseases?
We apply developmental biology, genetic, biochemical, and omics approaches to uncover key insights into the morphogenesis and pathogenesis of the blood vessel wall. Our ongoing projects focus on the following areas:
1. Aorta and Elastin Aortopathy
2. Ductus Arteriosus and Patent Ductus Arteriosus
3. Cerebral Vasculature and Intracranial Hemorrhage
