Background of the recruitment and description of the project
Science Tokyo will create a new professor, associate professor, or assistant professor position exclusively for female candidates at each of its six Schools and one Institute (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Schools”). This measure has been adopted to promote improvement in the significantly low ratio of female faculty members, as part of our commitment to “positive action,” based on Article 8 of the Act on Equal Opportunity and Treatment between Men and Women in Employment (Equal Employment Opportunity Act).
Area of Specialization: Engineering (Any of related fields of School of Engineering: Mechanical Engineering, Systems and Control Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Information and Communications Engineering, and Industrial Engineering and Economics)
Work content and job description
- The successful candidate will be required to conduct remarkable and international research in the specialized fields.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for lectures, exercises, and experiments related to School of Engineering for undergraduate students, and lectures in English for graduate students.
- The successful candidate will be required to supervise graduate and undergraduate students.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing School of Engineering, department, and the Institute. (Department will be decided according to the area of specialization.)
