Work content and job description

[Courses to teach]
English Cultural Area Studies, English and American Literature, Pop Culture in the English-Speaking World, Media and Gender, Seminar in International Liberal Arts, Third-year Seminar, Fourth-year Seminar, and English skill-based course(s)
[Job Description]
Besides the courses, committee duties necessary for departmental operations, coordination of English skill-based courses, and tasks related to departmental and university events. General student guidance, including study-trip programs, and entrance examination duties (including mock lectures for open campus events).

Wages

Common to all Job Types

Annual Salary : 5 million yen ~

Lecturer level: ¥5,910,000 or more
Associate Professor: ¥7,180,000 or more
Professor level: ¥9,460,000 or more
Salaries are paid in accordance with university regulations.

Qualifications

Education and Degree Requirements

Ph.D. / Doctor
Description

All the following qualifications and conditions must be satisfied.
(1) The candidate must understand the rationale behind the foundation of Showa Women’s University and be ready to carry out education in accordance with the university’s educational principles. The candidate must also demonstrate a willingness to actively and cooperatively engage in the university’s global education initiatives.
(2) Native-speaker or equivalent
(3) A Ph.D. in a relevant field
(4) Teaching experience in the aforementioned subjects at the university level is preferred
(5) Japanese ability sufficient for handling university-related administrative tasks required
