The Laboratory of RNA Informatics in the Department of Biological Informatics aims to elucidate the mechanisms of gene expression regulation through RNA-related data analysis and to translate these findings into practical applications. Our main research themes are currently focused on:
- Mechanisms and applications of mRNA sequence determination (alternative transcription initiation, polyadenylation, and splicing)
- Mechanisms and applications of post-transcriptional regulation (mRNA degradation and translation)
Our laboratory is equipped with diverse analytical techniques related to these themes. These include massively parallel reporter assays, long-read sequencing, translatome analysis, and advanced data analysis incorporating machine learning. Using these techniques, we are seeking motivated individuals to contribute to new developments in our research field. -
